Paramedic Registration


Registration Requirements:

1. Completion of a academically accredited paramedic training programme of at least 1200 hours in duration

2. Documentation of 96 hours of continued professional development within the past two years

3. Current Healthcare Provider CPR with AED certification

4. ​Current ACLS or ALS certification

5. Current ITLS or PHTLS certification​

6. 200 hours of patient contact experience within the past two years.​

EMT Registration


Registration Requirements:

1. Completion of an EMT training programme of at least 200 hours in duration

2. Documentation of 48 hours of continued professional development within the past two years

3. Current Healthcare Provider CPR with AED certification

4. Current ITLS-Basic or PHTLS-Basic certification​

5. 24 hours of patient contact experience within the past two years.​

This registration does not give the authority to provide medical care. 

All Paramedics and EMTs must work under the license of a medical doctor.


Who are the Malta Registry of Paramedics?

The MRP is part of the College of Remote and Offshore Medicine Foundation. CoROM is an academic not-for-profit organisation for health care professionals working in the remote, offshore, transit, military and security industries. It provides a membership and registry for doctors, nurses and paramedics working in remote and austere environments. 

CoROM is an academic degree granting institution based in the European Union. There is more information available by clicking on the CoROM logo to the left.
